This initiative combines youth sports development, education support, and environmental action in one community-centered event. Through sprint competition, tuition scholarship awards, and practical waste-management sensitization, EA Foundation delivered a program that rewards discipline, academic progression, and responsible community habits.
The event was designed to create immediate opportunity for students while establishing a longer development pathway for high-potential student-athletes from Ngoumou.
Before the donation of trash cans to the school, EA Foundation's environmental engineer delivered a short awareness talk to students and community members. The session emphasized proper use of bins and the risks of open-air burning.
A structured sprint event was held with separate groups for secondary and high school students, across both genders. After qualification rounds, the top six students in each category advanced to the finals.
Finalists were rewarded based on performance. Category winners received tuition scholarships for the 2026/2027 school year, conditional on promotion to the next class, along with cash prizes. Second- and third-place athletes also received cash awards.
Outstanding finalists will enter a follow-up training program where EA Foundation provides coaching support, materials, and structured development. The strongest athletes will be connected to national clubs for broader competition and visibility.

Ngoumou 2026 confirmed that sports can be a practical bridge to academic opportunity and community transformation. As this cohort progresses, EA Foundation will track student outcomes, continue athlete mentoring, and pursue student-athlete scholarship opportunities for participants who excel both on the track and in the classroom.
